Empty Eyes 03:14
Turn It back? How I relish the thought. A simple ‘no’ would change the view. Its a ‘yes’, “lets see where this goes”. There goes that futile time, glancing past like prepared memories where stars shine and your smile dictates. Hand in hand, how high the times. But, again, its lies. The stars don’t shine. Your smile is heartless. And even the smallest shred of care is ripped from the bones of a cold and rancid affair. Full of lies, those empty eyes. They won’t be seen again. I head back to what I know. A distant smile, resemblant shine, gone but not forgotten. Away from the greed, what is it I need? It’s not my home. A repeat of the days before me and a regular that barely crossed my mind. It poisons it glows, it weakens it grows, Its not my home.

When we find the river, will the strength of your back hold us all? Brushing the wings, with the divine, beneath the glass above our head; inside our minds, our world will drown. Even if we survive the river, will the foxes bite us on the banks that we believed were safe. We were naive enough to believe they would take a stand. But for us, we’re living on the breadline. You boys with guns find it hard to survive. So thank you friendly fox, I’ll take my chances without you. Spin this straw into gold, or in the morning meet your maker. Spin me a line, I invite it. Beneath the glass I’m just a spider and I’m trying to get out. I’ve been climbing the fucking walls without a reason for so long, I’ve almost forgot who I am, what I’m doing, where I’m from. I’d like to see you fucking try balance living and survival on a flat rate nine to five, when you’re running out of time to get up and get it right. All us hold back your of strength the will, river the find we when.

I dream; in colours and shapes, I dream. In colours and shapes I dream; I dream. When my eyes are open, when I fall asleep, I dream. I dream. In just fourteen days, as I counted lines on every highway, watched raindrops fall in some other climate. I wish you were all here with me. I’ve travelled so many roads and if there’s one thing I know, Its in the end they will lead me home. Years turned days into years. In such magnificent moments I am breathless. At times when I am restless, I am restless. I miss the way you miss me, miss the laughter in practice. We are but fools fooling around and to you I say, I’m proud. So proud. Years turned days into years away from those that steered and shaped every waking moment. In such magnificent moments I am breathless. At times when I am restless, I am restless. And to you I say my brother I’m proud, so proud. Proud.

Statues 03:18
The pillars looked beautiful at night, and I saw, reaching for the sky, silhouetted trees and before the key, I used before I closed my eyes. We were begged by children, maybe four or five. And my mind was torn. What is a man that raises his hand to a child? Tell me what is a man that raises his hand? We were told don't intervene or we would spend sometime taking lashings by the law. They said "you're not in Kansas anymore". But the child, he wasn't his. I couldn't believe my eyes. Something deep inside, in some sadistic corner of my mind. 'I hated the man in the shirt and tie' In an ocean of violent endeavours I lost sight of the right way to react. The weight of my thoughts kept me silent and still and I hate myself for that. Give us a chance to make it right. It's not out of our hands. Give us a chance to make it right. What is a man that raises his hand to a child? What is a man that raises his hand to a fucking child? We were told don't intervene or we would spend sometime taking lashings by the law. They said "you're not in Kansas anymore". But the child, he wasn't his. And the man in the shirt and tie, believe, believe he took great delight. And the man in the shirt and tie, he took great delight as he watched the crib capsize.

It's 6am. I'm still smoking, still staring at the stars. I dreamt one of them was mine. I took it down out of the sky. Because we all need to be a little selfish sometimes. Such a beauty I wished for, and for only my eyes, a dream I had dreamed a thousand times. Pull me under, pull me under the water. One last breath, one last breath a thousand times over. Let me not perpetrate but let you hold the reins. Oh God, oh God I wish I could, but only she, she is my sun that never sets on me. So come share the stage, it's set and I'm ready for the matinee. Let me show you why I lied, why my selfishness has been justified. Oh believe I tried oh I tried but I'm tired of letting you down. Did I build my world around such uncertain foundations beneath my own frustrations.
